Annual Balloon Rally

Notice:  We regret to announce that Stout's Cider Mill's ANNUAL BALLOON SHOW IS CANCELLED until further notice.

The first weekend in June every year — except this year (2003), we hold our annual balloon rally. As many as 20 balloons from clubs across southern Arizona and even New Mexico participate. Balloonists, crews, and Cider Mill guests and spectators gather at the Cider Mill on Saturday evening for a potluck dinner with music and dancing afterward.

Most folks retire early Saturday evening for the 5:00AM pre-flight briefing and 6:00AM lift-off on Sunday morning. The balloons float over Willcox to celebrate Stout's Cider Mill's birthday — our gift to the people of Willcox. Presentation of awards and "first-flyer" ceremonies are held immediately afterward. The entire affair is usually over by 9:30 or 10:00AM Sunday morning.
